August of 1936 in Vidago Palace, a magnificent and luxurious hotel located in the north of Portugal near the Spanish border, is inaugurating the golf course designed by Scottish architect Philip Mackenzie Ross. While the Civil War had just broken out, a few kilometers away, the world is being stunned by the XI Olympic Games in Berlin. Europe is in a bustling environment. Preparations for Cesar and Carlota’s wedding are taking place in the ballroom of Vidago Palace.
This is the setting for a story filled with romance, passions, hatred, betrayal, mystery and suspense. The story of a woman fighting to control her destiny.
